Catering services at Selly Park are managed by Aspens Services. There are two restaurants at Selly Park, one located in the main school next to the art department and the other in the newly opened Anne Rae building, adjacent to the library. In the Anne Rae restaurant, you will find our new concepts bar where students can buy items from our popular “street food” range. In the main restaurant, students can enjoy our traditional “world foods” menu. It is in the main restaurant where we travel on our monthly food destination days, celebrating cuisines from around the world.
Meal deals are available in both restaurants daily, providing excellent value for money, with students having a choice of main meal and dessert or main meal and a drink.
Service times in both restaurants are:
- Breakfast - 8:00 to 8:30 (main school restaurant only)
- Morning Break - 11:00 to 11:15
- KS4 Lunch - 12:15 to 13:00
- KS3 Lunch - 12:45 to 13:30
The Aspens Way
At the heart of what we do is our love for pleasing our customers with our great tasting, healthy food and our menus are guided by the feedback we receive from our customers. All of our dishes are supported by recipes and our teams are trained so that the dishes are cooked well, they taste great and look their best on our counters.
We purchase our food responsibly, through a transparent process and are proud that we buy from British farmers and producers. Buying British enables us to invest in local communities, reduce our food miles and get a great range of seasonal produce to incorporate into our menus for our customers to enjoy. Breakfast is served daily from 8am.
To prepare the students for a busy day, all those arriving before 8.30 receive a free hot chocolate and a slice of toast.
There is also a variety of breakfast items for sale such as hash browns, Danish pastry selection, hot porridge with toppings, yoghurts and a selection of fresh fruits.
Students also have the choice of a range of hot and cold drinks.
Open to all year groups, breakfast club is very popular with the students and gives them a hearty start to the day.
